I'm interested in apping a character whose mage ability set involves summoning spirit creatures or manipulating the elements by calling to the gods of his homeland. His magic explicitly doesn't work when he's far away from his gods, geographically. I was wondering if, in his case, he would have to be apped depowered or if there was some other way of rationalizing his abilities still working in this setting. In most of his other games there's been a mandatory depowering and new magic system, but I've also had him summon from existing spirits in the setting in a similar way (after a great deal of grumpy self-argument), or would be open to his gods still being able to hear him here or something. Essentially, I'd really like his magic to work, but could deal with it not working at all if need be.

What would be the preferred method of dealing with that in Incensed?
