- There are fiction books as well! The age range varies, so one could find children's stories in the same vein as fairytales, young adult, and adult fiction as well, including the... saucy type of adult fiction, if that's your speed. (I would even go so far as to say coterie leader shipping fic exists somewhere. This is a lawless wasteland.) Legends mostly center around the old gods, very similar to the Aztec pantheon, as well as some of the more uncommon/mythical monsters, some of which are on the bestiary and some of which have ~yet to be revealed~. It would be fair to say that a character could've read something about one of them when they are revealed without completely spoiling the surprise, if one wanted to go that route.

- Salamanders (and at the moment, Vipers) are automatically allowed in—the other two coteries will need to check in when they arrive but other than a quick "what's your name, which group are you with" they won't turn anyone away. You can bypass that if you namedrop someone in the Salamanders too, which they won't bother to reference check because security is awesome here.

- They are all handwritten, any artwork painted by hand etc. That's one reason the libraries are looked after and books are a big commodity especially in Coatepec—it is a nightmare to replace one that's damaged. That said there are occasionally multiple copies of the same book, because someone really had that much time on their hands, but it's not common.
