On the activity rewards page, it says "Regained items cannot break the setting—that is, no objects that would introduce modern tech or enable the easy production of such things." Which feels pretty straightforward. However, the part about "modern items they do receive" is throwing me off a bit!
So just to clarify, does that mean modern items are completely out, or they're okay with the expectation they'll be essentially useless in the long run and can't be used to try to introduce the tech?
I'm specifically thinking of having Adora request something along the lines of spy bot or these little flying bots. They wouldn't be able to be used for offensive purposes, as their capabilities are meant for scouting and reconnaissance. The intention is to cheer a friend up by letting her take a look at some cool, alien tech with the understanding it would eventually run out of power or break. With the flying bots specifically, the tech would likely be far too advanced for anyone to even consider replicating it without extreme difficulty given the setting. The Spybot is much less advanced but, you know, lack of material in the setting.
SO TL;DR would this be regainable with the expectation it will break eventually or are all modern items a total no-go? The wording just has me a little confused. Thanks!!
